It’s getting towards Christmas time, so we’ve put together the TBT Advent Calendar.
It does what it says on the tin really; 25 articles in 25 days – and good ones at that. Plus some other stuff thrown in. Here’s some more details.
The festive period is quickly approaching and the countdown to Christmas starts Sunday. We at TBT are a festive bunch, therefore we’ve decided to create an advent calendar for every one of our readers.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the ability to offer you all a chocolate a day, that’d cost a fair bit, plus all of us have a bit of a sweet tooth and in the event of us acquiring such a large amount of chocolate, well, I imagine we’d consume most of it!
So, there’ll be no chocolatey goodness behind each door of the TBT Advent Calendar but what there will be is an amazing article written by a different person each day, and trust us when we say that reading the writing of those who’ve kindly agreed to contribute is much more satisfying than a piece of cheap chocolate shaped as Rudolph.
Everyday when you wake up, you can open a door on the TBT Advent Calendar (hypothetically) and have access to exclusive pieces by some of the best writers around. These won’t just be any old articles though, after all, this is the countdown to Christmas, so the articles will reflect this. Each new piece will correlate in some way to the date it is published. For example – here’s a little sneak peak of what’s coming Sunday – the article for December 1st will be based around goalkeepers because well, they often wear the number 1 shirt. Clever, eh?
Not only will we be offering you something new to read each and every day, we’ll also continue to give away some fantastic prizes, as we have done since we first set up TBT in February this year. We’ve given away so much over the last nine months or so, but we have acquired what we believe to be our best prize yet, and at some point in December you’ll get the chance to win it – trust us when we tell you, it’s a belter of a prize.
Remember to keep an eye out for those competitions in December, keep downloading the podcast, visiting the site, sending in your tweets etc. and keep coming back each day to open a new door on our advent calendar. Again, it won’t contain a chocolate but we are sure you won’t be disappointed with what you find.
